How do I buy K-pop concert tickets as a foreigner?
For the full picture, read our K-Pop Concert Guide.
Here is a comprehensive breakdown of how to buy K-pop concert tickets as a foreigner in Korea. For most big acts (ATEEZ, Stray Kids, IVE, etc.), tickets go through Interpark Global. This is the English version of Interpark and it accepts foreign credit cards. Create your account DAYS before the sale, not the morning of. Verify your email, save your payment info, and do a test run so you know the interface. The key thing nobody tells you: tickets sell out in under 90 seconds for popular groups. You need to be on the page refreshing at exactly the sale time. Use a wired internet connection, not wifi. Have the app AND the browser open on two devices. If buying from abroad, a VPN set to Korea can help since Korean servers seem to respond faster. Interpark Global sometimes opens a few seconds after the Korean version, so navigating the Korean site gives a tiny advantage. For HYBE groups (BTS, Seventeen, etc.), Weverse is usually the platform. You need a Weverse membership for presale access, which costs around 20,000 to 30,000 KRW. Presale is your best chance. General sale is basically impossible for floor seats. Fan clubs often get first priority, so if you are a serious fan of one group, joining the official fan club (through Weverse or Daum Cafe) pays for itself with presale access. Cancellation drops are real. Check back 3-5 days before the concert. People cancel, and those tickets pop back up on Interpark. Some venues also do same-day standing tickets. Olympic Gymnastics Arena and KSPO Dome sometimes release a small batch at the box office the morning of the show. A warning about resale: there is no official resale platform like StubHub in the US. Most resale happens on Twitter and Korean community boards, and scams are extremely common. If you are buying resale, only do face-to-face exchanges or use a trusted middleman service. Never transfer money to a random bank account.
